Your liver breaks alcohol down into acetaldehyde, a toxic byproduct. This group focuses on research into alcohol-related symptoms and the oxidative stress involved in processing alcohol.
Hovenia / DHM
Hovenia extract has been studied for easing hangover symptoms. A small human trial found symptoms improved faster; isolated DHM is a different preparation.
Milk thistle
Studied for antioxidant effects that help defend liver cells against oxidative stress—a type of cell damage alcohol can cause.
Turmeric
Studied for antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. These are relevant to the oxidative stress and inflammation associated with drinking.
L-cysteine
Studied for next-day nausea and headaches. A small trial of a supplement combining L-cysteine and vitamins reported relief; findings across studies are mixed.
Black pepper
Helps explain why turmeric and pepper are paired: piperine has been shown to increase curcumin absorption in a human study.
02
Gut Support
Digestive wellbeing
+
Alcohol can irritate the stomach and disrupt digestion. Ginger, prebiotic fiber and pear bring together digestive-comfort research, support for beneficial bacteria and fruit ingredients.
Ginger
Studied for easing certain types of nausea and supporting digestive comfort—the unsettled-stomach side of feeling unwell.
Prebiotic fiber
Feeds beneficial gut bacteria, helping support the microbial balance that healthy digestion relies on.
Korean pear
Pear juice has been explored in small human studies of next-day symptoms. It also brings fruit flavor; juice research does not establish the effect of a gummy.
03
Vitamin Replenishment
Energy metabolism
+
B vitamins help your body release energy from food. Alcohol can interfere with nutrition, particularly with sustained heavy use; this pillar focuses on everyday energy metabolism.
B-vitamins
B1, B2, B3 and B6 help turn food into usable energy and support normal nerve function. Nutritional support, rather than a stimulant.
04
Hydration
Fluid balance
+
Alcohol can increase urination, leaving you short on fluids. Sodium and magnesium support normal fluid, muscle and nerve function. Water remains part of the routine.
Magnesium
Supports muscle and nerve function and electrolyte balance—part of the hydration picture when alcohol increases fluid loss.
Sodium
Helps your body regulate fluid balance. Pair your routine with water: electrolytes alone do not replace lost fluid.
Ingredient research varies by extract, amount and study. It does not establish that VEYA prevents or treats hangovers.

HUMAN STUDY
Hovenia & next-day symptoms
A placebo-controlled crossover trial in 26 men reported a faster decline in hangover symptom scores with a standardized Hovenia fruit extract.
Inside the study +
Participants shared a specific ALDH2 genetic variant. The study used 2,460 mg of extract. Peak blood alcohol and acetaldehyde levels did not differ between groups. This was Hovenia extract, not isolated DHM or VEYA.
A small trial of an L-cysteine vitamin supplement reported improvements in nausea and headache after drinking.
Inside the study +
The randomized, blinded trial involved 19 men. Reported nausea and headache findings used 1,200 mg L-cysteine and correlational analysis. It studied a combined supplement; it does not establish the same outcome for other formulations.
A human study found that adding piperine, a compound in black pepper, increased absorption of curcumin from turmeric.
Inside the study +
The human study paired 2 g curcumin with 20 mg piperine. It measured absorption, not hangover relief. Results depend on the ingredient preparation and amount used.
These are ingredient studies, not clinical trials of VEYA. Early findings help frame the questions; they do not prove that the finished gummies prevent or treat hangovers.

How does VEYA work?+
VEYA brings together botanicals studied for alcohol-related symptoms, ingredients for digestive wellbeing, B-vitamins for energy metabolism and electrolytes for fluid balance. Four areas of support in one mango gummy format.
What are the key ingredients?+
Our ingredient focus includes DHM / Hovenia, milk thistle, turmeric, L-cysteine, ginger, pear, B-vitamins, magnesium and sodium. Explore each ingredient group above.
How is it different from electrolytes?+
Electrolytes focus on fluid balance. VEYA also brings together liver-focused botanicals, digestive ingredients and B-vitamins. It is a broader nutritional routine in a chewable format—no powder to mix.
What does it taste like?+
Mango: bright, fruity and made for a little moment before heading out.
Usage
When do I take it?+
VEYA is designed for your before-drinking routine. Each pouch holds two gummies, approximately 5 g each. Follow the directions on the finished product label for serving size and timing.
Can I have multiple in one night?+
Follow the maximum daily serving on the product label. Do not increase your intake to match the number of drinks you have.
Do I need to mix it with anything?+
No mixing, measuring or shaker required. The gummy format is made to chew. Drink water as part of your routine.
Can I take it without alcohol?+
You do not need to drink alcohol to enjoy the ritual. Follow the product label’s directions and suitability guidance.
Effectiveness
Does it help with hangovers?+
VEYA’s focus is liver and gut support, alongside vitamins and electrolytes, as part of your before-drinking routine. Individual experiences vary; hangover prevention is not guaranteed.
Does it prevent intoxication?+
VEYA will not prevent intoxication or enhance sobriety. It does not make driving after drinking safe or offset the risks of alcohol.

Where is it made, and is it tested?+
Manufacturing and quality-testing details will be available before orders open.
Science
What is DHM?+
DHM stands for dihydromyricetin, a plant compound studied for how the body processes alcohol and responds to oxidative stress. Most isolated-DHM evidence comes from laboratory and animal research; human Hovenia-extract studies are a separate body of research.
